A partnership of amazing character!

Small actions change big lives!

What does it mean to "Be a Lion?"

Be a Lion is based upon the principle that we must always turn and face trouble and pain with confidence and strength.

“If a lion is chasing you he WILL catch you if you try to run and hide. Your best hope is to turn and face him down. Like a lion!”
- Miss Marty

We believe the science now proves that art and creative expression is key to the development of those powerful weapons for every child’s emotional quiver.

IF WE ALL COULD BE A LION

During a family trip in 1973, took                                                 his young sons to the National Zoo.

true to form, he was compelled to                                              capture the faces we met that day.

The lesson from that day and every                                             other day was that art is central                                                 to life and key to individual and                                                 community well-being.

Tuska and his bride, Miriam, showed their young family how to use art during personal struggles to build within ourselves the very emotions and personal tools these moments demand.

Tuska Studio is on a mission to teach everyone to “be a lion” and to face pain and hardships with all the love and strength the arts provide. Art heals after all.
